Kähler Design

Kähler has written Danish ceramics history over the last 170 years with its internationally renowned artistic ceramics. Crafts traditions since 1839 and the legacy of bigwigs like Thorvald Bindesbøll and Svend Hammershøj are still strong, even though the desire to honour the art is now in the hands of new generations. Louise Campbell, Claydies, Jeanette List Amstrup and Reckweg & Toft are today creating modern applied art with the sculptural and functional identity of Kähler and are using a new design language on timeless classics. The result is blossoming new ceramics in a timeless shape with broad appeal, but with individual interpretation.
