For the brothers Mogens Lassen (1901-1987) and Flemming Lassen (1902-1984) there was never anything but them to be architects. They were born into an artistic family and the ability to create lay them naturally. Their passion for the subject spread among the comrades at boarding school in Nærum, where the brothers went with their good friend Arne Jacobsen. The Lassen brothers were among the first to work with functionalism in Denmark. It became a hallmark, especially for Mogens Lassen, and he was definitely ahead of his time in his way of looking at buildings and designs. The houses were square and with special vaults, large windows and the kitchens were open as we know them today.
Life as architects, the two Lassen brothers secured many grants, awards and well-deserved accolades for their work in design and architecture, which to this day still contributes to setting the framework for good design.
